On a prayer meeting, the pastor shared 4 reasons why we must experience the love of God, to be loved by Him.
1. So that we can love God. We can't love God if we haven't experienced to be loved by Him.
2. So that we can love others. 1 John 4:11
3. So that we can love the church.
4. So that we can love the nation.
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Happpy birthday Hwee Lin Tan :)
We knew each other in Intec. This was the birthday party that she organized for me :)
She is my sister in Christ. Always pray for me. And I know that she will pray for me whenever I'm in trouble
This is how we bond :)
I love disturbing her at her house.
She said the kids disliked her. But she's like a child, a child of God.
Happy birthday HweeLin!!!! Continue let God shine through you!!

The last paper
Tomorrow's my last exams of the semester. Although it's the last one, I hope that I will finish it strong in this school year with joy and hope. All the glory to God!!!! =D
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer -Romans 12:12
-Taken on the way to Blue mountain in Sydney, Australia-
This has reminded the road trip to Michigan lake.. We have planned to drive by the Michigan lake. However, we were not sure whether or not this would come true as none of us had been there. But, by faith, we went. After a long drive, finally we saw the blue lake :D
YAY!!!!!

Back to action

Sitting outside Espresson Royale in South Uni was always on my wishlist. Enjoying the blessing of sunshine, I managed to finish the assigned chapter of the book "Let the nations be glad" (which the summer mission team commit to read a chapter a week) The street was filled with the crowd once again. The merry laughter, lively conversation and footstep sound made the campus alive again!!!

Haha... Ya, I haven't blogged for months (I guess so ^.^) Yes, my blog is back!!!!
I was either too slumber to update or too lukewarm to share. However, I realize that it's good to have something to keep me in check from time to time, even something to jot down my thoughts and reflection.
The Bible verse of the week: (I name this because this verse has spoken to me)
Romans 12:9-15
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with god's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
This verse has put me in check with my heart nowadays which is overwhelmed by responsibilities and busyness.
Even today in ministry team, my leader reminded us once again the two commandments (Matthew 22:37-40) Love the Lord with all my heart, all my soul and all my mind. And love my neighbor as myself.
Loving others is so easy to forgo during this period of time. It's so easy for me to do things and forget the most important part - loving them at the same time. Having a heart to bless the people, not only merely pleasing people.
Even, the same thing applies to my relationship with God. "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep the spiritual fervor, serving the Lord" I always love this part of the lyric in the song "This is how we know" - Our love shall be the hand and feet that serve You in the world.

This is how we know
This is a song by Matt Redman. Although I have listened so many times (seriously, my lcg and I love this song so much and I think we can play it everyday. We even sang when we walked), still the lyrics touches me every time I listen to it (at least almost every time;p)
This Monday was a tough day for me - looking at my schedule of the week, I could only feel "Lord, I really don't want to do this anymore." Trying to rationalize different ways of getting rid of the stuffs on my planner, again I caught myself in a self-pity position where I started my old habit - running away, trying to take the shortcut and even hide myself away from people. Selfishness, self-righteousness,.....
But still God is the constant God, the faithful God. I fall, He picks me up. I hide, He reaches to me with love, a love from the father. A forgiving and understanding father who guides me every single little step I take and will be there even when I fall down. =)
"Trust in the Lord with all your hearts and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight"
Proverbs 3:5-6

Oh, I miss spring!!
This is always my favorite photo which was taken last summer 2008. Laying on the grass of Diag, I was amazed by the serenity of the blue sky behind the lush green. Rays of sunlight shone between leaves were so bright until I could not open my eyes fully. Just like how we could hardly ignore the glory of God shining upon our lives; only could I stand in awe of it =)
